Hold Down Grids

Hold down grids are positioned directly above column packing to help prevent movement, lifting or discharge of packing during operation. They secure the packing bed while providing controlled flow, helping protect column performance and reduce the risk of disruption inside the vessel.

Hold down grids are suited to packed columns used in chemical, fine chemical, petrochemical, food, fertiliser and environmental process applications. They are commonly specified for distillation, absorption, stripping and gas scrubbing services, including duties involving corrosive liquids, acidic media, solvents and other aggressive chemicals where the packing bed needs to remain secure.
