Blanking Spades, Spectacle Blinds
and Orifice Plates
These piping ancillaries are all manufactured from corrosion resistant PTFE, either supplied machined from solid PTFE or as a PTFE lined steel component, with all wetted parts being PTFE they are designed for use in arduous and toxic processes.

Used in the pipeline during shutdowns, cleaning operations etc to absolutely confirm positive shut off allowing safe maintenance. Bonded PTFE to wetted surfaces with stainless steel substrate.
Spectacle blinds are a more permanent form of blanking spade, designed to be left installed within the pipeline. CRP supply both sliding solid PTFE and PTFE lined steel figure 8 types.
Used to reduce flow in pipelines or help measure flow we can supply a full size range machined from solid PTFE.
Please note we only supply PTFE lined or solid PTFE spades and blinds, we do not supply metallic blinds with serrated faces etc. typically used in the petrochemical industry.
