Flange Safety Spray Guards

Flange spray guards are used to protect personnel from uncontrolled spray out from a failing flange joint.


 

CRP’s PTFE lined products are mainly used to convey very corrosive products, safety regulations stipulate that consideration must be made for reducing the effects of leaks to the environment and personnel, CRP safety shields are a recommended addition to any piping system and should be considered in any site safety reviews.

Whilst our safety shields are not designed to contain the line pressure of a leak they are utilised to dissipate the force of any liquid spray-out or emitted vapour mist allowing the leak to be more readily contained and managed.

By controlling the leak and protecting personnel and surrounding plant equipment from chemical contact considerable cost savings can be made. They help to minimise accidents on plant preventing costly plant down time, unplanned absenteeism, HSE investigations etc. Flange Sprayguard

CRP offer several types of flange guard including: 

PTFE coated fibre glass fabric tied versions.

A cost effective polypropylene spray guard roll which can be cut to length and wrapped around flange joints.

High temperature stainless steel flange covers.

and also flange band protectors to help against fastener corrosion. 

As well as flange spray shields we stock Bellows Guards to suit our range of FluoroFlow expansion bellows and are often asked to supply custom shields for ball, butterfly check valves etc. 

All types are easy to install.

All types can be supplied with a drain connection.




CRP recommend that flange safety spray shields should be fitted to all lined pipe flange joints.
