PlugSeal - Desalination Valve
The PlugSeal is the latest addition to the Durco range which 
has been designed specifically for the reverse osmosis desalination industry. The product provides absolute positive shutoff, is rated to ASME Class 600 and is available in a butt weld or flanged configuration. As standard it is available in 904L stainless steel (UNS N08904) or in Super Duplex Stainless Steel (ASTM A995 Gr 5A.) The size range is from 1 inch to 16 inch nominal bore.
The product has a number of key features which make it ideal for this industry. In particular a great deal of attention has been paid to the ease of maintenance of the product.
The tapered plug design allow the plug to be reseated externally after long term wear on the plug. The use of a PFA lined plug eliminates the requirement for a sleeve which is often difficult and expensive to replace requiring special costly tools.
Accessible adjuster bolts allow for in-line adjustability of the plug.
The top entry style allows for a convenient removal and re-installation of the plug.
The efficient simple design of the PlugSeal allows for quick repair without the
need for specialist training or the need to remove the product and send to a repair centre. The valve can remain in the process line.
An ISO mounting pad allows for easy actuation using a wide range of pneumatic or electric actuators which CRP would be happy to provide.
