New PFA lined Plug Valve
Flowserve has re-launched the T4E plug valve with a
completely new lining concept. Instead of the traditional PTFE
isostatically moulded lining, Flowserve has developed their advanced
PFA moulding technology so successfully used on the Atomac range of
ball valves and introduced it for the T4 plug valve. The PFA lining
provides not only the smoothest lowest friction lining – assisting in
preventing product hold-up, it is also the most permeation resistant
material. Using machined and cast T-slots in the body and a solid
encapsulated plug makes the product suitable for extreme service
conditions including vacuum applications at elevated temperatures. Its
large sealing surfaces provide a drop tight valve shut off, the valve
being fully bi-directional and sealing is totally independent of line
pressure. A secondary dynamic self-adjusting PFA reverse lip diaphragm
prevents stem leakage. Valve seats never require replacing; a simple
in-line adjustment of the plug reseats it. So; no production
interruption, no complicated maintenance procedures and no big bills.
The new design valve has also been fitted with an ISO5211 Mounting pad
for easy actuation fitting. The valve is available in both ASME Class
150 and 300lb designs and PN16 if required. So for absolute positive
shut off in all circumstances this is the valve of choice. CRP hold
