CRP Wins National Award

CRP is well known for designing, processing and manufacturing top quality paste extruded PTFE and PFA lined products for more than 30 years. Beside supplying these high performance and top quality products, CRP customers appreciate the excellent service they receive, including product and installation training. This service stems from years of investment in its people.

We are therefore delighted that our commitment to continually developing our workforce has been recognised at the Plastics Industry Awards, having won an award for our Training & Development Programme.

Sports TV presenter Mark Durden-Smith presented the award to James Keating, Area Sales Manager in front of an audience of over 650 industry professionals at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

CRP manufactures specialist HiPerFlon® lined Piping, PTFE Bellows and valve products for the most challenging applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical and allied industries in both the UK and overseas, with this export content becoming more critical to success.

“We are particularly proud of winning this award because it represents our continued drive to make our people the heart of our business and also recognises our commitment to apprentices, who make up ten percent of our workforce,” said Nigel Price, Managing Director.

Providing internal and external development opportunities for all staff, the business sees future growth lying in combining existing knowledge and skill from long term employees with the energy of its young people who want to make engineering their career.

Launched in 2001, and held annually in London, the Plastics Industry Awards are dedicated to rewarding innovation and exceptional performance in an increasingly competitive market and are judged by a panel of industry experts.

Styling ourselves as the “Corrosion Expert” it is necessary to provide the backup to support this claim. With consolidation amongst our customers and the pressure for rapid change it can be difficult to retain site expertise in what is a niche area. CRP set out to provide advice and support to new employees or those who have changed roles in understanding the very special world of PTFE and PFA lined equipment.

In a different vein, investment in training and development of our design and process engineering team has enabled us to keep our product range at the forefront of materials and process developments and continue to focus on solving the customers problems.

Therefore, we are pleased if you continue to challenge our knowledge and expertise. Every question has an answer, please contact us.
